Analysis of fiction and nonfiction passages for main idea, inference, tone, and vocabulary in context. Passages come from published books and essays — wide reading is the best prep.

Stanine Score

ISEE reports results as stanines 1–9. Stanines 7–9 are above average. Stanine 9 (top 4%) is very competitive. Schools see all score attempts — prepare well before the first sitting.
